Comparison review
Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a general score of 94.6, which is a little bit better than Sony Xperia 1 III's general score of 93.3. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 design is somewhat thinner than Sony Xperia 1 III, but it is way heavier and was released about 10 months before. Both of these phones use the same Android 11 operating system.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a little faster processor than Sony Xperia 1 III. Both have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount. The Xperia 1 III features a better screen than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a way greater display pixel density and a higher 1644 x 3840 resolution.
Xperia 1 III counts with a slightly better camera than Galaxy Z Fold 2, and although they both have a back camera with a 12 mega pixels resolution and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia 1 III also has a bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting higher quality photographs and videos, a larger diafragm aperture and higher 120 fps video frame rate.
The Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Z Fold 2, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 1 TB. Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Xperia 1 III count with similar battery durations.
Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Sony Xperia 1 III, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Sony Xperia 1 III. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Z Fold 2, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Sony Xperia 1 III, letting go a couple specifications.
