Comparison review
The Xperia 1 III has a general score of 93.3, which is a lot better than the Xperia Z5's 77.6 global score. Xperia 1 III's construction is newer than Xperia Z5's, but it is just a bit thicker and heavier. Both phones in this comparison review use Android OS, but the Xperia 1 III has the newer 11 version while Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1 version.
Xperia 1 III counts with a little more vivid display than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has a bigger screen, a lot higher 1644 x 3840 resolution and a much better pixel density. Sony Xperia 1 III features a much better memory for apps and games than Xperia Z5, because it has an external memory card slot that allows up to 1 TB and 256 GB internal memory capacity.
Sony Xperia 1 III features a bit better CPU than Xperia Z5, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory. The Sony Xperia 1 III captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Xperia Z5, because although it has a lot less MP back-facing camera and a lower 3840x2160 video resolution, it also counts with a bigger aperture and a much bigger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
The Xperia 1 III counts with a very superior battery life than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 2900mAh.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z5. If you want to save some money, you can buy Xperia Z5, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
