The Sony Xperia 1 III is much better than the Xperia Z5 Premium, with a general score of 93.3 against 79.8. Even though Sony Xperia 1 III is a lot newer than Xperia Z5 Premium, it's a bit heavier and just a little bit thicker. These phones use Android OS (Operating System), but the Sony Xperia 1 III has 11 version while Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1, offering some extra features and performance improvements.

The Xperia 1 III has a bit better CPU than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 III also counts with more RAM. The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a more vivid screen than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better 3840 x 2160 resolution and a little higher count of pixels per screen inch.
