The Sony Xperia 1 III is a lot better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, having a score of 93.3 against 77.5. Even though Sony Xperia 1 III is just a bit thicker than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, it's lighter and also way newer. The Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a brighter display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because it has a bit larger screen, a much higher display pixels density and a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840.
The Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a bit faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has more RAM memory. Xperia 1 III has much more storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1 TB.
