Sony Xperia 1 V has a global score of 82.7, which is a little bit better than LG Q70's 77.9 overall score. Both phones in this review include Android OS, but the Sony Xperia 1 V has a newer 13 version and LG Q70 has Android 10, so it gives some additional features and performance tweaks. Sony Xperia 1 V's design is way newer and a bit lighter, but also a little bit thicker than the LG Q70.
Xperia 1 V features a little more vivid display than LG Q70, because it has a lot greater pixels amount per inch of screen, a quite larger display and a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels. The LG Q70 has a greater memory capacity to install games and applications than Xperia 1 V, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.
LG Q70 features a much powerful processor than Sony Xperia 1 V, although it has lesser RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Xperia 1 V features a much better camera than LG Q70, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for capturing photos and/or video in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia 1 V also counts with a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera, a way bigger back camera sensor shooting much higher quality photographs and faster 120 frames per second video frame rates.
The Xperia 1 V has longer battery duration than LG Q70, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity against 4000mAh.
