Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 V is a bit better than the LG Q8, having a global score of 82.7 against 77.2. Both phones we are comparing here use Android OS, but Sony Xperia 1 V has the previous 13 version while LG Q8 has Android 7.0 Nougat version. Sony Xperia 1 V's design is notably newer than the LG Q8's, but it's a little bit thicker and heavier.
The LG Q8 has a very superior processing power than Xperia 1 V, although it has 8 GB lesser RAM and lesser processing cores. The LG Q8 features a little more vivid screen than Sony Xperia 1 V, although it has a much smaller display, a little bit lower pixel quantity in each screen inch and a much lower 1440 x 2560px resolution.
Xperia 1 V has a way better camera than LG Q8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for taking photographs or video in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xperia 1 V also counts with better 120 fps video frame rate, a lot bigger sensor shooting way better quality videos and photos and a back facing camera with a lot higher resolution.
The Xperia 1 V features just a bit more storage for games and applications than LG Q8, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 224 GB more internal memory capacity. The Xperia 1 V counts with a superior battery life than LG Q8, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
