The Motorola edge is a little bit better than Xperia 1 V, having a general score of 89.6 against 82.7. These phones use Android OS, but the Motorola edge has the previous 10 version and Xperia 1 V has Android 13. Although it's the best in our current comparison, Motorola edge is a way older, a little heavier and somewhat thicker cellphone than Xperia 1 V.
Motorola edge counts with an extremely better CPU than Sony Xperia 1 V, although it has lesser RAM, they both have 8 cpu cores. The Xperia 1 V has a slightly better looking screen than Motorola edge, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 and a lot more pixels per screen inch.

The Sony Xperia 1 V counts with just a bit better battery duration than Motorola edge, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
Xperia 1 V counts with a bit better camera than Motorola edge, because although it has a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a smaller aperture which is not so good for taking images and video in low light situations and a much less megapixels camera in the back, it also counts with a much bigger sensor taking way better quality videos and photographs.
