The Xperia 5 III has a general score of 90.5, which is just a bit better than the Xperia 1 V's general score of 82.7. Both phones in this comparison review use Android operating system, but the Xperia 5 III has older 11 version and Xperia 1 V has Android 13 version. The Xperia 5 III body is a little bit lighter and just a bit thinner than the Xperia 1 V, despite of the fact that it was released many years before.

Sony Xperia 1 V counts with a little more vivid display than Xperia 5 III, because it has a greater amount of pixels per screen inch, a much better 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution and a bit bigger screen. Xperia 5 III has a really superior performance than Xperia 1 V, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.

Xperia 5 III features a lot bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Xperia 1 V, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Xperia 5 III also has a SD card slot that allows up to 1 TB. The Xperia 1 V takes much clearer photos and videos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not recommended for taking photos and/or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia 1 V also counts with a back facing camera with a much better 48 MP resolution and a much bigger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.

The Sony Xperia 1 V features just a bit longer battery duration than Xperia 5 III, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity against 4500mAh.
