The Sony Xperia 1 VI has a score of 83.2, which is slightly better than HTC One M9's 77.7 overall score. Sony Xperia 1 VI's design is thinner and way lighter than the HTC One M9. Both of these devices have Android OS, but Sony Xperia 1 VI has the newer 14 version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version, so it gives you a couple additional features and performance optimizations.

HTC One M9 features a bit better looking display than Sony Xperia 1 VI, although it has a lot smaller display, a way lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a way lower quantity of pixels in each inch of screen. The Sony Xperia 1 VI features a superior memory capacity to store more apps and games than HTC One M9, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD extension slot that allows up to 1 TB.

Xperia 1 VI captures greater photographs and videos than HTC One M9, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xperia 1 VI also has a back facing camera with way more mega pixels, a way bigger sensor, higher video frame rates and a larger diafragm aperture.
