Comparison review
Xperia 1 VI has a global score of 83.2, which is a bit better than the LG Q8's score of 77.2. These phones have Android OS, but the Xperia 1 VI has 14 version while LG Q8 has Android 7.0 Nougat. The Xperia 1 VI is a thinner and incredibly lighter cellphone than the LG Q8. LG Q8 features a little sharper display than Xperia 1 VI, although it has a lot worse resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, a much smaller screen and a just a bit inferior amount of pixels per display inch.
LG Q8 features a very superior processor than Sony Xperia 1 VI, although it has a lower amount of RAM and 4 lesser CPU cores (but faster). Sony Xperia 1 VI captures a lot better pictures and videos than LG Q8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia 1 VI also counts with a camera in the back with lot more mega pixels, higher video frame rates and a lot bigger back camera sensor which gives a lot better photo and video quality.
Xperia 1 VI features a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than LG Q8, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with more internal storage. The Sony Xperia 1 VI features a very superior battery duration than LG Q8, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 3000mAh.
