Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 VI is a bit better than the Motorola Edge (2024), having an 83.2 score against 78.5. Both of these devices include the same Android 14 OS (Operating System). The Sony Xperia 1 VI is a noticeably thinner and a lot lighter device than Motorola Edge (2024). The Motorola Edge (2024) counts with just a bit better looking screen than Xperia 1 VI, although it has a little bit smaller display, a much worse pixel density and a lot lower 1080 x 2400 resolution.
Motorola Edge (2024) and Xperia 1 VI count with extremely similar CPUs, and although the Motorola Edge (2024) has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have 8 processing cores. Xperia 1 VI has a very superior camera than Motorola Edge (2024), because although it has a less mega pixels resolution back camera, a worse 3840x2160 video quality and a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for low-light photos, it also counts with a bigger back camera sensor which provides a higher photo and video quality.
The Xperia 1 VI features a much bigger storage for applications and games than Motorola Edge (2024), and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia 1 VI also has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB. The Xperia 1 VI and the Motorola Edge (2024) count with very similar batteries duration.
