Xperia 1 VI has a global score of 83.2, which is slightly better than Motorola Edge 40 Neo's 77 global score. The Xperia 1 VI construction is incredibly thinner and way lighter than Motorola Edge 40 Neo. Both phones in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia 1 VI has newer 14 version and Motorola Edge 40 Neo has Android 13, so it provides the user a lot of extra features and performance enhancements.
Motorola Edge 40 Neo's processor is very similar to the CPU in Xperia 1 VI, and although the Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo counts with a bit sharper screen than Xperia 1 VI, although it has a much worse pixel density, a little smaller display and a way worse 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution.
Xperia 1 VI captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 video resolution, a smaller camera aperture and a worse resolution back camera, it also counts with a bigger sensor. The Sony Xperia 1 VI has much more memory for applications and games than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, because it has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage.
The Motorola Edge 40 Neo counts with a battery lifetime that's just as good as the Sony Xperia 1 VI one.
