Xperia 1 VI is slightly better than Motorola Moto G9 Play, getting a general score of 83.2 against 76.7. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android OS, but Xperia 1 VI has a more recent 14 version while Motorola Moto G9 Play has Android 10. The Xperia 1 VI is a much lighter and a lot thinner cellphone than Motorola Moto G9 Play.
The Moto G9 Play features a much better performance than Sony Xperia 1 VI, although it has 8 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Sony Xperia 1 VI has a sharper display than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because it has a way higher pixel density, a little bigger display and a way better 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution.
The Xperia 1 VI has a lot bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because it has more internal memory capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 1 TB. The Moto G9 Play's battery duration is just as good as the battery lifetime in Xperia 1 VI.
The Sony Xperia 1 VI captures better pictures and videos than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for capturing photos and/or video in low light environments, and they both have a back-facing camera with a 48 megapixels resolution, the Sony Xperia 1 VI also counts with a lot better (4K) video resolution and a bigger sensor shooting better quality photos and videos.
