The Asus ZenFone 8 is slightly better than Sony Xperia 1, getting a global score of 83 against 82.6. Even though Asus ZenFone 8 is a little thicker than Sony Xperia 1, it's just a little lighter and newer. The Xperia 1 and the Asus ZenFone 8 feature very similar CPUs, both of them have a 6 GB RAM and a Octa-Core CPU.

The Sony Xperia 1 has a little more vivid display than Asus ZenFone 8, because although it has much worse brightness, it also counts with a better pixels count in each screen inch, a quite bigger display and a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution. The Xperia 1 features a much greater storage capacity for applications and games than Asus ZenFone 8, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Xperia 1 also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
