Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 is slightly better than Google Pixel 3, getting a general score of 82.6 against 80. Although it's the best in this comparison, Sony Xperia 1's design is heavier and a bit thicker than the Google Pixel 3. Sony Xperia 1 counts with a bit superior CPU than Google Pixel 3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has 2 GB more RAM.

The Sony Xperia 1 counts with a more vivid screen than Google Pixel 3, because it has a higher pixels count per inch of display, a larger screen and a way better resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels. The Xperia 1 and the Google Pixel 3 both feature very similar cameras, because although the Google Pixel 3 has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, it also counts with a back facing camera with more mega-pixels, better video frame rates and a bigger sensor which provides a better image and video quality.

The Xperia 1 has a lot bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Pixel 3, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that admits up to 512 GB. The Sony Xperia 1 counts with a bit superior battery performance than Google Pixel 3, because it has a 14 percent bigger battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Google Pixel 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 3. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Google Pixel 3, resigning some features and specifications.
