Comparison review
Xperia 1 has a general score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than HTC U11's 77.6 overall score. Although Xperia 1 is much newer than the HTC U11, it is a little thicker and a bit heavier. The Sony Xperia 1 features a little better hardware performance than HTC U11, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Sony Xperia 1 features a little bit better looking screen than HTC U11, because it has a larger screen, a just a bit better pixel amount per inch of display and a better resolution of 1644 x 3840. The HTC U11 shoots clearer photos and videos than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low-light captures and video, and they both have a camera in the back with a 12 mega-pixels and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the HTC U11 also counts with a larger sensor shooting higher quality pictures and better 30 frames per second video frame rate.
The Xperia 1 counts with a much bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than HTC U11, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Xperia 1 features a bit longer battery performance than HTC U11, because it has 3330mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC U11, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC U11. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy HTC U11, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
