Comparison review
The Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than Huawei nova 5T's overall score of 80.8. Xperia 1's construction is a bit thicker and just a little bit heavier than the Huawei nova 5T. Sony Xperia 1 features a more vivid screen than Huawei nova 5T, because it has a little bit bigger screen, a much better screen pixels density and a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840.
The Xperia 1 features a way bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Huawei nova 5T, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Xperia 1 also has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Xperia 1 counts with a little faster processing unit than Huawei nova 5T. Both of them have 8 CPU cores and a 6 GB RAM.
The Huawei nova 5T has a little better battery lifetime than Xperia 1, because it has 3750mAh of battery capacity. Huawei nova 5T features a much better camera than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for shooting photos and videos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei nova 5T also counts with faster 30 frames per second video frame rate, a lot larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a way better resolution camera.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei nova 5T, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei nova 5T. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei nova 5T, resigning a couple specs and features.
