Comparison review
Xperia 1 is slightly better than Huawei P40 Lite, having a general score of 82.6 against 79.5. The Xperia 1 is an older phone than Huawei P40 Lite, but it's just a bit lighter and a little thinner anyway. The Sony Xperia 1 features a better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has a little bit larger screen, a much better display pixel density and a way better resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels.
Xperia 1 features much more memory capacity to install games and applications than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage, the Xperia 1 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 512 GB. Xperia 1 counts with a little faster processor than Huawei P40 Lite. Both have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core CPU.
Huawei P40 Lite has better battery duration than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 4200mAh battery size against 3330mAh. The Huawei P40 Lite has a superior camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for shooting photographs in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a camera in the back with a lot higher 48 MP resolution, better 30 frames per second video frame rate and a way bigger sensor which gives a lot better image and video quality.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P40 Lite. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia 1, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei P40 Lite, resigning some features and specifications.
