Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 is slightly better than LG G5, with an 82.6 score against 76.1. Sony Xperia 1's construction is notably newer, but just a little bit thicker and heavier than LG G5. Sony Xperia 1 has a little sharper display than LG G5, because it has a higher resolution of 1644 x 3840, a larger display and a just a little higher display density.
Sony Xperia 1 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than LG G5, because it has a greater number of cores and a larger amount of RAM memory. Xperia 1 features a greater memory capacity for games and applications than LG G5, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that admits 1,45 TB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.
LG G5 features a slightly better camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for capturing photographs and video in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a same size camera sensor, the LG G5 also counts with a lot more MP back-facing camera and higher video frame rates.
Xperia 1 counts with better battery performance than LG G5, because it has a 19% bigger battery capacity.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG G5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the LG G5. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the LG G5, letting go a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your budget.
