Comparison review
The Xperia 1 has a general score of 82.6, which is slightly better than the LG G8S ThinQ's 82.5 global score. The Xperia 1 design is a little lighter but a bit thicker than the LG G8S ThinQ, and both were released with only a couple months difference. The LG G8S ThinQ has a processing unit that is just as good as Sony Xperia 1's CPU, they have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core CPU.
The Sony Xperia 1 counts with a better display than LG G8S ThinQ, because it has a little larger display, a lot higher 1644 x 3840 resolution and a lot better pixel amount per inch in the display. The LG G8S ThinQ has a much better storage to install applications and games than Sony Xperia 1, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the LG G8S ThinQ also has a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 1,95 TB.
LG G8S ThinQ features a slightly better camera than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have a back camera with a 12 megapixels and the same (4K) video definition, the LG G8S ThinQ also counts with higher video frame rates. The LG G8S ThinQ features a little better battery life than Sony Xperia 1, because it has 3550mAh of battery capacity.
