Comparison review
Xperia 1 is a little bit better than the LG Q70, with a global score of 82.6 against 77.9. Xperia 1's body has the same thickness than the LG Q70, but it is somewhat lighter. The Sony Xperia 1 has a brighter screen than LG Q70, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px, a little bit bigger display and a much better display pixel density.
Sony Xperia 1 has just a bit better performance than LG Q70, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a higher amount of RAM. The LG Q70 counts with a slightly better memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia 1, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.
LG Q70 has better battery performance than Xperia 1, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3330mAh. The LG Q70 counts with a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier camera sensor taking lower quality photographs and a tinier aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the LG Q70 also counts with a back facing camera with way more megapixels and faster 30 frames per second video frame rates.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than LG Q70, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as LG Q70. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the LG Q70, giving up a couple specifications.
