Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 is a bit better than Microsoft Surface Duo, getting an 82.6 score against 78.8. Even though the Sony Xperia 1 is older and incredibly thicker than Microsoft Surface Duo, it's body is still way lighter. The Xperia 1 and the Microsoft Surface Duo feature similar processing units, they have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM memory amount.

Xperia 1 has a sharper display than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher screen pixels density and a little higher 1644 x 3840 resolution. Xperia 1 has a little bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has worse video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Xperia 1 also counts with a bigger aperture and a more megapixels camera in the back.

Sony Xperia 1 features a much bigger storage for apps and games than Microsoft Surface Duo, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Microsoft Surface Duo has just a bit better battery duration than Sony Xperia 1, because it has 3577mAh of battery capacity instead of 3330mAh.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Microsoft Surface Duo, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Microsoft Surface Duo. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Microsoft Surface Duo, letting go a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
