Motorola edge has a score of 89.6, which is just a bit better than the Xperia 1's 82.6 general score. The Motorola edge is a newer phone than Xperia 1, but it's somewhat thicker and a little bit heavier. The Sony Xperia 1 features a little bit better performance than Motorola edge. Both of them have the same RAM amount and 8 cpu cores.

Xperia 1 features a sharper screen than Motorola edge, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater pixel amount per inch of display and a way better 1644 x 3840 resolution. The Motorola edge counts with a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 1000 GB and more internal storage.

The Motorola edge shoots a lot better photos and videos than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low-light images and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Motorola edge also counts with a camera in the back with a lot better resolution, higher video frame rates and a much larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.

Motorola edge counts with greater battery duration than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
