Sony Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is a bit better than the Motorola Edge (2024)'s general score of 78.5. Sony Xperia 1's body has the same thickness than Motorola Edge (2024), but it's just a little heavier. Xperia 1 has an extremely better processing unit than Motorola Edge (2024), although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.

Xperia 1 features a bit more vivid screen than Motorola Edge (2024), because although it has a quite smaller screen and a lot darker display, it also counts with a much higher pixel count per inch of screen and a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px. Motorola Edge (2024) features just a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for low-light photos and videos, and they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rates, the Motorola Edge (2024) also counts with a lot bigger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back camera with a lot better 50 megapixels resolution.

The Xperia 1 counts with just a bit bigger memory for apps and games than Motorola Edge (2024), because although it has just 128 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Motorola Edge (2024) has a very superior battery life than Xperia 1, because it has a 50% more battery size.

Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola Edge (2024), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola Edge (2024). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Xperia 1, else you can save some dollars and buy the Motorola Edge (2024), resigning a couple specs and features.
