The Sony Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is slightly better than Motorola Moto G7 Plus's score of 76.1. Although Sony Xperia 1 and Motorola Moto G7 Plus were only released 4 months apart, the Sony Xperia 1 construction is just a little heavier but also just a little thinner than Motorola Moto G7 Plus.

Sony Xperia 1 counts with a bit better CPU than Motorola Moto G7 Plus, and although they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has 2 GB more RAM. The Sony Xperia 1 features a brighter display than Moto G7 Plus, because it has much more pixels per screen inch, a little bigger display and a way better 1644 x 3840 resolution.

Moto G7 Plus shoots clearer photos and videos than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for shooting photos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and a 0.38 inches back-facing camera sensor, the Moto G7 Plus also counts with better video frame rates and a way more megapixels back facing camera.
