Comparison review

The Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is slightly better than the Moto G8 Plus's general score of 77.6. Xperia 1's design is thinner and a little lighter than the Moto G8 Plus, even though both of them were only released with a couple months difference. Sony Xperia 1 has a little faster CPU than Moto G8 Plus, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.

The Sony Xperia 1 features a sharper screen than Moto G8 Plus, because it has a way better display density, a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels and a little bigger display. Moto G8 Plus counts with a superior camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for capturing photographs or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Moto G8 Plus also counts with a camera in the back with lot more megapixels, faster 30 frames per second video frame rates and a way bigger back-facing camera sensor which gives a much better photo and video quality.

Xperia 1 has a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Moto G8 Plus, and although they both have an external memory card slot that supports up to 512 GB, the Xperia 1 also has more internal memory capacity. The Motorola Moto G8 Plus has improved battery duration than Xperia 1, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
