Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 is a little bit better than the Moto G8 Power, getting a score of 82.6 against 76. The Sony Xperia 1 body is thinner and just a little bit lighter than the Moto G8 Power, although it was released just 11 months before. Xperia 1 features a more vivid screen than Moto G8 Power, because it has a lot more pixels per inch of screen, a way higher 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution and a little bit bigger screen.

Xperia 1 features much more memory capacity for games and applications than Moto G8 Power, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB, the Xperia 1 also has 128 GB internal memory. The Xperia 1 counts with a little faster processor than Moto G8 Power, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 also has a larger amount of RAM.

The Moto G8 Power counts with a much better battery life than Xperia 1, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity. The Moto G8 Power takes clearer photos and videos than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for low-light photography and videos and a smaller sensor offering a lower image quality, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Moto G8 Power also counts with better 30 frames per second video frame rate and a back camera with a way higher resolution.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Moto G8 Power, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto G8 Power. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia 1, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Moto G8 Power, giving up a couple features and specifications.
