Comparison review

Xperia 1 is just a bit better than the Motorola Moto Z3, getting a overall score of 82.6 against 77.6. The Xperia 1 construction is newer, but somewhat heavier and thicker than Motorola Moto Z3. The Sony Xperia 1 features just a little better hardware performance than Motorola Moto Z3, and although they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a higher amount of RAM.

The Sony Xperia 1 features a sharper screen than Moto Z3, because it has a way greater number of pixels per inch in the screen, a little larger screen and a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px. The Moto Z3 features a little bit more memory to store more games and applications than Xperia 1, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.

Sony Xperia 1 captures slightly better photos and videos than Motorola Moto Z3, because although it has worse video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a same resolution back camera, the Sony Xperia 1 also counts with a bigger sensor and a larger diafragm aperture for better low-light photos and video.

The Xperia 1 features a bit better battery lifetime than Motorola Moto Z3, because it has an 11 percent bigger battery size.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Moto Z3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto Z3. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Moto Z3, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
