Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 is a bit better than OnePlus 8 UW, with an 82.6 score against 75.9. Sony Xperia 1 is an older and a little thicker cellphone than the OnePlus 8 UW, but Sony made it just a little bit lighter anyway. The OnePlus 8 UW's processor is very similar to the processing unit in Xperia 1, and although the OnePlus 8 UW has a larger amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Xperia 1 counts with a bit better looking screen than OnePlus 8 UW, because although it has way more opaque screen, and they both have a display with the same size, the Xperia 1 also counts with a way higher pixels amount per inch in the display and a much better resolution of 1644 x 3840. Xperia 1 counts with much more storage capacity for games and applications than OnePlus 8 UW, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia 1 also has a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB.
The OnePlus 8 UW has longer battery duration than Sony Xperia 1, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity instead of 3330mAh. OnePlus 8 UW captures much better photographs and videos than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the OnePlus 8 UW also counts with a lot higher resolution back camera, a lot bigger sensor shooting lot higher quality photographs and videos and higher 60 frames per second video frame rate.
The Sony Xperia 1 costs more money than OnePlus 8 UW, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
