Comparison review
The Galaxy A42 has a score of 87, which is a bit better than Sony Xperia 1's global score of 82.6. The Galaxy A42 design is newer, but a bit thicker and a little heavier than Sony Xperia 1. Sony Xperia 1 counts with a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A42, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Xperia 1 has a way better screen than Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater screen density and a way better resolution of 1644 x 3840px. The Samsung Galaxy A42 shoots much better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low light photography and video, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with faster 30 fps video frame rates and a back camera with much more mega-pixels.
The Galaxy A42 features just a bit bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia 1, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage, the Galaxy A42 also has an external memory card slot that holds up to 1000 GB. Samsung Galaxy A42 features a much longer battery duration than Xperia 1, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
