Comparison review
The Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017)'s 75.8 general score. The Xperia 1 is a much newer and a little lighter cellphone than the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017), although it's also a little bit thicker. Sony Xperia 1 counts with a lot better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017), because it has a lot higher display pixel density, a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px and a quite larger display.
Xperia 1 features a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 also has a greater amount of RAM. Xperia 1 has much more storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy A7 (2017), because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 512 GB and more internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) has a bit longer battery lifetime than Xperia 1, because it has a 3600mAh battery size against 3330mAh. The Sony Xperia 1 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy A7 (2017), because although it has a back camera with much less megapixels resolution, it also counts with a bigger aperture to take better low light photos and a much better video definition.
