The Xperia 1 is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy M12, getting a score of 82.6 against 80. The Xperia 1 is an older device than the Samsung Galaxy M12, but Sony managed to build it thinner and lighter anyway. The Xperia 1 counts with a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy M12, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Xperia 1 also has a much better screen pixels density and a lot better 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution.

Xperia 1 has just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy M12, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 also has a greater amount of RAM. Galaxy M12 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition, the Galaxy M12 also counts with better video frame rate and a way more mega pixels back-facing camera.

Xperia 1 counts with just a bit bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy M12, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB against 1 TB, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. The Galaxy M12 counts with a superior battery lifetime than Xperia 1, because it has an 80 percent greater battery capacity.
