Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 has a score of 82.6, which is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Note 4's 81.6 overall score. Sony Xperia 1's design is incredibly newer and just a little thinner, but also just a bit heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The Sony Xperia 1 features just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 4, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM and more cores.

Galaxy Note 4 has a display that's just as good as the Xperia 1 one, although the Galaxy Note 4 has a just a little worse pixels density, a lot lower 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and a little smaller display. Sony Xperia 1 features a superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Note 4, because it has 96 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.

Xperia 1 counts with a bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note 4, because it has a 3 percent larger battery capacity. Galaxy Note 4 takes a bit better videos and photos than Xperia 1, because although it has a much smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for shooting photos and videos in low light environments, and they both have the same back camera sensor size and the same (4K) video definition, the Galaxy Note 4 also counts with better 30 fps video frame rate and a way more mega-pixels back camera.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Note 4. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy Note 4, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
