Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Note 5, with a general score of 82.6 against 79.3. The Sony Xperia 1 design is noticeably newer than Galaxy Note 5's, although it's a little thicker and just a bit heavier. Xperia 1 features a more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a larger number of faster cores and a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Xperia 1 has a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px, a quite greater pixel density and a bit bigger display. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same sensor size, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also counts with a camera in the back with way more mega-pixels and higher video frame rate.
Sony Xperia 1 has a way bigger memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a SD extension slot that admits up to 512 GB and more internal storage. Xperia 1 counts with a little better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has 3330mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy Note 5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Note 5. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Note 5, giving up some specifications.
