Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition's global score of 80.4. The Sony Xperia 1 construction is newer than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition's, although it's a bit thicker and just a little heavier. Sony Xperia 1 features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has more RAM memory.
The Xperia 1 counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because it has a just a bit greater number of pixels per inch in the screen, a bit larger screen and a higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px. The Xperia 1 captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor taking lower quality photos and worse video frame rates, and they both have a 12 MP camera in the back and the same (4K) video quality, the Xperia 1 also counts with a larger diafragm aperture for better low light images.
Sony Xperia 1 has a lot bigger memory capacity for applications and games than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because it has 128 GB internal storage and a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 512 GB. The Xperia 1 counts with a bit longer battery performance than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because it has a 4% more battery size.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
