Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 is a little bit better than the Galaxy S6 Active, having an 82.6 score against 80.9. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active counts with a little more vivid display than Sony Xperia 1, although it has a little bit inferior amount of pixels per inch in the display, a way smaller screen and a way worse 2560 x 1440 resolution.
The Xperia 1 has a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S6 Active, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has a bit superior processor than Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active also counts with an additional graphics processing unit and a 64-bit processor.
The Xperia 1 shoots better videos and photos than Galaxy S6 Active, because although it has a back facing camera with much less mega-pixels resolution and a lower (4K) video definition, and they both have a same size camera sensor, the Xperia 1 also counts with a larger aperture. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active features a bit superior battery life than Sony Xperia 1, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity against 3330mAh.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S6 Active, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy S6 Active. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia 1, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S6 Active, giving up some specifications.
