Comparison review
The Xperia 1 is a little bit better than Galaxy S7 Active, having an 82.6 score against 75.8. The Xperia 1 construction is incredibly newer, just a bit lighter and thinner than Galaxy S7 Active. The Xperia 1 counts with a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because it has 4 more cpu cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.
Xperia 1 counts with a bit more vivid display than Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has a lot darker screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1644 x 3840, a bigger screen and a bit better pixel number per inch of display. Sony Xperia 1 captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because although it has slower video frame rate, and they both have the same resolution back-facing camera and the same video definition, the Sony Xperia 1 also counts with a bigger camera aperture for better images and video in poorly lited environments.
The Xperia 1 counts with a much better storage to store more games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy S7 Active has improved battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 3330mAh.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy S7 Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S7 Active. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia 1, else you can save some dollars and get the Galaxy S7 Active, giving up a couple features and specifications.
