Sony Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than Xperia XZ2 Compact's 79 score. Although the Sony Xperia 1 is a little bit heavier than Xperia XZ2 Compact, it's extremely thinner and also newer. Sony Xperia 1 features a bit more powerful processor than Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has more RAM.
Sony Xperia 1 has a slightly better looking display than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because although it has a lot more opaque screen, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840, a higher display pixels density and a bigger display. The Xperia 1 counts with a way bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has more internal memory capacity and a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact takes clearer pictures and videos than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with better video frame rate, a lot more mega-pixels back camera and a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
