Comparison review

Xperia 1 is slightly better than Xperia Z5, having a global score of 82.6 against 77.6. The Xperia 1 construction is extremely newer, but a bit thicker and heavier than the Xperia Z5. The Xperia 1 features a little more vivid screen than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels, way more pixels per inch of screen and a bigger display.

Sony Xperia 1 has a much bigger storage to install games and applications than Xperia Z5, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage. Xperia 1 features just a little better processing power than Xperia Z5, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia 1 also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory.

The Sony Xperia Z5 shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Sony Xperia Z5 also counts with faster 30 fps video frame rates, a way better resolution back camera and a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.

Xperia 1 features just a little better battery duration than Xperia Z5, because it has a 15% larger battery size.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z5. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia 1, else you can save some money and buy the Xperia Z5, letting go some features and specifications.
