The Galaxy XCover 5 is slightly better than Sony Xperia 10 Plus, getting a score of 78.1 against 75.4. The Galaxy XCover 5 design is newer and just a little lighter than the Sony Xperia 10 Plus's, but it's a little thicker. The Sony Xperia 10 Plus counts with a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a bigger display, a much better resolution of 1080 x 2520 and a higher screen pixel density.
The Galaxy XCover 5 has just a bit better hardware performance than Xperia 10 Plus. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM and the same number of cores. Galaxy XCover 5 has a quite bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia 10 Plus, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy XCover 5 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 1 TB.
The Galaxy XCover 5's battery lifetime is just as good as Sony Xperia 10 Plus's battery performance. Sony Xperia 10 Plus shoots slightly better photos and videos than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a camera in the back with a way lower resolution, and they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, the Sony Xperia 10 Plus also counts with a way higher 3840x2160 video quality.
