Comparison review
The Xperia 5 II is better than the HTC One M9, with a global score of 87.2 against 77.7. The Xperia 5 II is a noticeably newer and somewhat thinner cellphone than the HTC One M9, although it is a bit heavier. HTC One M9 features a little bit better processing power than Xperia 5 II, because although it has 5 GB less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a graphics processor and a 64-bits CPU.
The HTC One M9 features a sharper display than Sony Xperia 5 II, although it has a quite smaller display, a bit inferior quantity of pixels per display inch and a quite lower 1920 x 1080 resolution. Sony Xperia 5 II has a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than HTC One M9, because it has more internal storage capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 1000 GB.
The Sony Xperia 5 II features a really longer battery duration than HTC One M9, because it has a 4000mAh battery size. Xperia 5 II shoots slightly better pictures and videos than HTC One M9, because although it has a worse video quality and a way less megapixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a lot larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light images and a much bigger back camera sensor capturing lot better quality videos and photos.
Although Sony Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more money than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC One M9. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy HTC One M9, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
