Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 30 5G is slightly better than the Xperia 5 II, getting an 87.4 score against 87.2. Huawei Mate 30 5G is an older, heavier and a little thicker phone than the Xperia 5 II. The Xperia 5 II and the Huawei Mate 30 5G count with quite similar CPUs, both of them have a Octa-Core processing unit and the same RAM memory amount.
The Xperia 5 II has just a bit better looking screen than Huawei Mate 30 5G, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a bit more pixels per display inch. Sony Xperia 5 II has much more memory for games and applications than Huawei Mate 30 5G, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a SD card slot that allows up to 1000 GB.
The Huawei Mate 30 5G captures much clearer photographs and videos than Xperia 5 II, because although it has lower 60 frames per second video frame rate and a tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for capturing images or videos in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei Mate 30 5G also counts with a camera in the back with a lot better 40 megapixels resolution and a larger sensor taking better quality pictures.
The Huawei Mate 30 5G features just a little bit longer battery life than Xperia 5 II, because it has a 5% larger battery size.
