The Xperia 5 II has an overall score of 87.2, which is a bit better than the Huawei nova 5T's 80.8 score. Xperia 5 II is a a bit lighter cellphone than Huawei nova 5T, but they are equally thin. Sony Xperia 5 II counts with a bit better processing power than Huawei nova 5T, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has 2 GB more RAM.
The Xperia 5 II counts with just a bit better looking display than Huawei nova 5T, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a just a little greater display pixel density. The Huawei nova 5T counts with a slightly better camera than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has lower 30 frames per second video frame rates, a smaller aperture which is not so good for low light images and videos and a tinier camera sensor giving a worse image quality, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Huawei nova 5T also counts with a back facing camera with lot more MP.
The Xperia 5 II counts with much more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei nova 5T, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Xperia 5 II also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1000 GB. Sony Xperia 5 II has just a bit longer battery performance than Huawei nova 5T, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Huawei nova 5T, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Huawei nova 5T. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5 II, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Huawei nova 5T, letting go a couple features and specifications.
