The Xperia 5 II is just a bit better than Huawei P20 Pro, with an 87.2 score against 81.4. The Xperia 5 II is a just a little lighter phone than Huawei P20 Pro, but both of them are 0.31inches thick. Xperia 5 II has a bit better performance than Huawei P20 Pro, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 5 II also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
Xperia 5 II counts with a slightly better looking screen than Huawei P20 Pro, and although they both have a same size screen, the Xperia 5 II also has a slightly higher 1080 x 2520 resolution and a bit higher pixel amount in each inch in the screen. The Huawei P20 Pro takes clearer photographs and videos than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for shooting photos and/or video in low light situations, slower video frame rate and a tinier sensor shooting worse quality videos and photographs, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a camera with much more mega-pixels.
Xperia 5 II counts with a way bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P20 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Xperia 5 II also has an external SD slot that admits up to 1000 GB. The Huawei P20 Pro and Xperia 5 II have similar battery durations.
Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei P20 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Huawei P20 Pro. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Huawei P20 Pro, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
