Comparison review
Xperia 5 II is a little bit better than the Huawei P30, getting a score of 87.2 against 81.7. The Xperia 5 II body is newer and a little bit lighter than the Huawei P30's, but it is also a little thicker. Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit sharper display than Huawei P30, and although they both have a same size display, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen and a slightly higher 1080 x 2520px resolution.
Sony Xperia 5 II has a much greater memory to install applications and games than Huawei P30, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1000 GB. The Xperia 5 II counts with a bit faster CPU than Huawei P30, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia 5 II also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
Huawei P30 takes slightly better pictures and videos than Xperia 5 II, because although it has lower video frame rate and a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for low light images, and they both have the same video definition and the same sensor size, the Huawei P30 also counts with a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution.
Xperia 5 II has a bit better battery performance than Huawei P30, because it has a 10 percent larger battery size.
Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei P30, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P30. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia 5 II, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Huawei P30, giving up some features and specs.
