Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 II has a score of 87.2, which is slightly better than the Huawei P40 lite 5G's 83.4 global score. Sony Xperia 5 II's design is a little thinner and lighter than Huawei P40 lite 5G, even when both of them were only released with a couple of months difference. Sony Xperia 5 II has a little faster processor than Huawei P40 lite 5G, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has more RAM.
Xperia 5 II features a slightly better display than Huawei P40 lite 5G, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little greater pixel density and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520. Sony Xperia 5 II has a much bigger storage to install games and applications than Huawei P40 lite 5G, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 1000 GB.
Huawei P40 lite 5G counts with a battery lifetime that's just as good as the Xperia 5 II one. Huawei P40 lite 5G takes just a bit better photos and videos than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for low light photos and videos and lower video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 lite 5G also counts with a camera in the back with lot more megapixels.
