Comparison review

Xperia 5 II is slightly better than the LG G8X ThinQ, getting an 87.2 score against 82.7. Xperia 5 II's construction is newer, just a bit thinner and somewhat lighter than LG G8X ThinQ. Xperia 5 II counts with a bit sharper display than LG G8X ThinQ, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a little better display pixel density and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels.

The LG G8X ThinQ counts with a better storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia 5 II, and although they both have the same internal memory, the LG G8X ThinQ also has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. LG G8X ThinQ and Sony Xperia 5 II both feature extremely similar processing units, and although the LG G8X ThinQ has lesser RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.

The Xperia 5 II shoots slightly better photographs and videos than LG G8X ThinQ, and although they both have the same resolution camera and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia 5 II also has higher 120 frames per second video frame rates, a way bigger camera sensor which offers a lot higher photo and video quality and a bigger diafragm aperture.

The LG G8X ThinQ and Sony Xperia 5 II feature similar batteries duration.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is way more expensive than the LG G8X ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the LG G8X ThinQ. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Xperia 5 II, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the LG G8X ThinQ, giving up some specs and features.
