The Xperia 5 II has an overall score of 87.2, which is much better than Motorola Edge 40's 77.2 overall score. Although the Xperia 5 II is noticeably older and a bit thicker than Motorola Edge 40, it's design is still just a little bit lighter. The Xperia 5 II features a very superior performance than Motorola Edge 40. They have a Octa-Core processing unit and the same RAM amount.

Motorola Edge 40 has a slightly better screen than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a little lower resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a little bit worse pixels density, it also counts with a quite larger display. The Sony Xperia 5 II has a much better storage to store more games and applications than Motorola Edge 40, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has an external memory card slot that admits up to 1000 GB.

Motorola Edge 40 features just a bit better battery life than Xperia 5 II, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity.
