The Xperia 5 II has a score of 87.2, which is a bit better than Galaxy A31's 81.3 score. The Xperia 5 II construction is just a bit thinner and somewhat lighter than Galaxy A31, although they were released only a couple months apart. Sony Xperia 5 II counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A31, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A31, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a just a little higher screen density. The Sony Xperia 5 II counts with much more storage for games and applications than Galaxy A31, because it has an external memory slot that allows up to 1000 GB and 128 GB internal memory.

The Galaxy A31 takes slightly better pictures and videos than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a smaller sensor, a tinier aperture which is not recommended for shooting photographs in low-light situations and slower 30 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same (Full HD) video quality, the Galaxy A31 also counts with a back camera with a much better 48 mega-pixels resolution.
