Comparison review

Xperia 5 II has a general score of 87.2, which is better than the Galaxy Alpha's 76.3 global score. Xperia 5 II's body is somewhat thicker and notably heavier than the Galaxy Alpha. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Xperia 5 II count with very similar displays, although the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a much smaller screen, a lot worse amount of pixels per display inch and a much lower 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.

Xperia 5 II features a much greater storage for apps and games than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1000 GB and 128 GB internal memory. Xperia 5 II counts with a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM and a greater number of cores (and they are faster).

The Sony Xperia 5 II counts with a much longer battery life than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 115% larger battery capacity. Xperia 5 II features a better camera than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and a same resolution camera in the back, the Xperia 5 II also has a way larger camera aperture for better photography in poorly lited environments and faster 120 fps video frame rates.

Although Sony Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Alpha. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Galaxy Alpha, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
